Federation Aeronautique Internationale National Aero Club of Bulgaria Bulgarian Aeromodelling Federation Pazardzhik Municipality EVENT NAME FAI European Free Flight Aeromodelling Championships 2008, Pazardzhik, Bulgaria. Classes F1A, F1B and F1C.
PARTICIPATION Every Team (three competitors in each class F1A, F1B, F1C, one team manager, one assistant team manager and one timekeeper) from FAI affiliated World National Aero Club (National Airsport Control Organization), individual European Champions 2006: Mr. Per FINDAHL (Sweden) F1A, Mr. Oleg KULAKOVSKY (Ukraine) F1B Mr. Leonid FUZEYEV (Russia) F1C are invited to participate in 2008 European Free Flight Championships. Supporters, helpers and spectators are also invited to attend.
DATE AND PLACE 31 August to 07 September 2008, Pazardzhik, Bulgaria.
COMPETITION RULES According to the valid FAI Sporting Code, as well as all applicable amendments.
SPORTING LICENSES Each competitor must possess FAI Sporting License valid for 2008.
OFFICIAL LANGUAGES The official languages are Bulgarian and English.

TIMEKEEPERS Organizers will provide local timekeepers. Each participating country may enter a timekeeper and these timekeepers will be preferably used. Organizers very much beg commands of participants about presentation the timekeepers. The intention to enter a timekeeper should be announced in the Entry Form. All these timekeepers should speak basic technical English. The Organizers will provide accommodation, meals and Banquet together with the local timekeepers for the full official period of the contest from 01 September till 07 September (breakfast). They should act in all contest days, attend briefings for timekeepers and have own binocular, tripod and stopwatch. Each team will have the right to have any of their group act as a third timekeeper on their flights both in rounds and fly offs. Any small team unable to take this option will have a third timekeeper provided by Organizers for their fly off flights.
FLYING SITE LOCATION Flying site field Chernogorovo, 15 km to the North from the city of Pazardzhik. Grass area 2x0,5 km and open space around for 2 km (same place as Sofia Cup and Bulgaria Cup).
HOW TO REACH PAZARDZHIK by car (freeway from Sofia 110 km, Plovdiv 40 km and Burgas 320 km, Russe 370 km ); by train from Belgrade, Istanbul; Bucharest. Pazardzhik is on the railway from Europe, via Sofia, to Istanbul. by air to Sofia, then by car to Pazardzhik. Organized transportation from Sofia airport to Pazardzhik is possible. by rental car through Avis, Europcar, Hertz and other agencies in the Sofia airport.
HOW TO REACH SOFIA There are direct flights to Sofia from: Amsterdam, Athens, Barcelona, Belgrade, Berlin, Brussels, Budapest, Bucharest, Frankfurt, Helsinki, Istanbul, London, Manchester, Madrid, Moscow, Paris, Prague, Rome, Tel Aviv, Vienna, Warsaw, Zurich. INFORMATION The information for the championship will be exposed on a web site of the championship. Online registration of participants and commands of the championship is provided. Online of informal results of the championship will be exposed.

ENTRY FEE 260 Competitor. Second class 150 !!! 150 Team Manager, Assistant Team Manager. 30 Supporter, Helper. The entry fee covers participation in the European Championships, trophies and gifts. ATTENTION !!! While the competition, entrance into the Start Line area is allowed ONLY to those persons, who passed the official registration (Competitors, Team Managers and their Assistants, Helpers, Timekeepers, FAI Jury, Organizers) and have registration badge. All other persons should be out of 25 m zone.

The guarantee of your reservation is a payment for accommodation you ordered. Reservation dead line 30 June 2008 ! Organized transportation from the hotels to the airfield and back will be possible for the competitors and timekeepers during the competition.
MEAL Breakfast, and dinner at the accommodation place or Trakia restаurant. Lunch packages at the flying site. Cafе at the camp site, snack at the flying site.
NATIONAL ANTHEM AND FLAGS Each team is requested to bring to Registration two size 1x1.5 m National flags and CD with the National Anthem. These will be returned before your departure.

INSURANCE All visitors of the FAI European Free Flight Championships 2008 must have their own health insurance to cover illness and accidents.

F1C FUEL F1C fuel 80% Methanol and 20% Castor Oil (good quality oil, double filtratedbeforemixingfuel) will be used in competition. Each F1C Team will get 1/3 liter/person of fuel for training. If you need more fuel, for cost 3 EUR/liter, or pure Methanol (for motors and models cleaning) for cost 2 EUR/liter. Payment at the Registration.
